ABOUT FAUNA & COVE

Fauna & Cove are a home interiors company based in Norfolk. They specialise in handpicked items from around the globe to inspire the home. The business originally began as an online shop and interior styling service and then became a bricks and mortar shop in the beautiful town of Burnham Market.

As a new start-up business, Jasmine approached me for a logo and full brand identity. Her brand vision was set around sourcing ethical and sustainable items that were authentic, personal and minimalistic.

THE PROCESS

The logo needed to have a soft, understated feel as to not detract from the items themselves. I worked with a feminine serif typeface with subtle detailing and modern ampersand to give a simple yet sophisticated look. Various logo lockups and a range of brandmarks were created ensuring Jasmine had versions that would work across the website, social media, favicons, packaging and print marketing materials.

I put together a soft muted colour palette of slate grey, taupe and hints of beige to compliment the homewares that were being stocked.

Imagery showing close up detail was introduced to the identity adding interest, luxury and texture. Cropped in photos showing pottery, stoneware and linen fabrics would serve as backgrounds for printed and digital media such as Instagram tiles, website banners and backgrounds.

With the brand identity in place, a full set of brand guidelines were produced followed by materials for print including business cards and flyers to promote the launch of the brand.

Print featured recycled and uncoated papers to give an earthy and natural feel.
